Paralegal and Legal Policy Support experience
Angus is a highly regarded Advisor with significant experience as a paralegal performing legal research. Working in the Compliance and Enforcement Division of the Department of Agriculture, Angus has experiencing researching interpretations of legislation in case law whilst also assisting in drafting and expanding the legislation. Angus has also completed legal research for the Icon Water Project Nova, and assisted in drafting contracts for the incoming CEO of the pro bono organisation Fearless Women.
Angus is an Advisor at Proximity and has worked at the Department of Agriculture as a research paralegal, providing guidance for the development of regulatory schemes. He has also worked at the Civil Aviation Safety Authority on documenting and mapping regulation changes.
Angus has also worked on a pro bono project for The Farm in Galong New South Wales, assisting in their policy review process. This initiative supports women who have completed alcohol and drug rehabilitation.
Angus recently completed a secondment at the Defence Community Organisation, assisting on a business process mapping project.
Angus has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University (ANU). At the ANU, Angus was the Events Director and Treasurer of the ANU International Law Society.
Angus developed and refined his technical and critical thinking skills while working as a Laboratory Technician for a food science company.
Angus has a keen interest in cooking and all things food, and he has started a blog dedicated to lasagne. He also loves playing football and tennis, and going bouldering.
