Corporate and commercial law experience
Bronwyn has provided advice to the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources across a number of projects.
Bronwyn drafted and negotiated contracts for Austrade with sponsors, participants and innovation hub providers for the Landing Pads project (part of the National Innovation and Science Agenda).
These participants were based in Germany, the United States, China, Israel and Singapore.
Bronwyn also drafted, negotiated and enforced contractual material for Austrade’s Export Market Development Grants.
Bronwyn provided advice on a broad range of Austrade contracts.
These have ranged from Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and property and armoured cars leases, to Locally Engaged Staff and Australia-based labour hire.
Bronwyn advised the Department of Social Services on:
- 1800Respect’s contractual arrangements with counselling providers and complaints management
- Contracts between state and federal governments for the Data Exchange program
- ICT contracts (including IBM and procurements for ICT infrastructure)
- Labour hire arrangements and procurement for the Independent Decision Makers for the National Redress Scheme
- Various grants through the Community Grants Hub.
Bronwyn has advised other Commonwealth clients on a broad range of contracting issues related to drafting, variations, enforcement and disputes.
Bronwyn has drafted and advised on a range of procurement documentation.
These have included Requests for Expression of Interest, Request for Tender, Request for Quotation, as well as the supporting documentation for internal consideration and legislative or policy authorisations.
Bronwyn is a highly regarded commercial advisor, manager and lawyer with over two decades of experience.
Bronwyn has worked as a commercial lawyer in the private sector, New South Wales and Australian governments. She has also acted for not-for-profit clients.
Bronwyn has practised for many years across a broad range of areas. These have included contracting, procurement, commercial, policy, administrative, risk management and governance. Bronwyn has also worked on many high profile, sensitive matters.
Bronwyn was General Counsel at a NSW state-owned multi-utility company for over a decade.
Bronwyn is sought after by clients for her approachable, collegiate manner, and her pragmatic solutions-focused, and highly commercial advice.
Bronwyn enjoys using and developing her skills in risk management, corporate governance and grants to help others.
Bronwyn serves as a board director for the Canberra Raiders and the Canberra Hospital Foundation (Chair of the Funding and Allocations Committee).
Bronwyn is also an audit committee member for the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research. She is also a board member for the maternal health charity Send Hope Not Flowers.
Bronwyn is a member of the Australian Olympic Committee’s Tokyo 2021 Appeal Committee.
