Property and Environment Law experience

Ingrid has worked closely with clients on planning and development issues on major infrastructure developments.

These have included aviation and non-aviation developments at Australian Airports, Western Sydney Airport, and advising on regulatory issues for the Canberra light rail network.

Ingrid has drafted and reviewed leases and licences, prepared master plan documentation and developed construction/works approval documents.

Ingrid has also provided simple, practical and user-friendly advice in relation to planning requirements and approvals processes.

These have included the requirements under the Airports Act 1996 (Cth), environmental and heritage issues, consulting with local government and utilities and ACT-specific land regimes.

Ingrid has supported clients with strategic planning for complex regulatory issues. These include emerging issues in environmental law, such as Per and Poly Fluoroalkyl Substances management and remediation.

This work has seen Ingrid involved in:

  • Advising on enforcement and liability matters
  • Drafting correspondence with key stakeholders (including regulators)
  • Preparing conditional planning approvals
  • Preparing strategy papers, providing legal advice on environmental and regulatory compliance.

Ingrid assisted Australian Airports to respond to regulatory and leasing compliance issues with tenants and users of airport facilities.

This has included developing and implementing a response to debtors of the Airport.

This included drafting relevant letters, statutory demands and advice on legal avenues given the regulatory and commercial context.

Ingrid has also assisted with internal reviews of security procedures and lease terms to ensure security and regulatory compliance.
