David is an Expert Consultant at Proximity and has extensive legal, commercial, procurement and corporate experience in the defence industry.
David provided advice to the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) of the Department of Defence while on secondment.
This advice covered major capital acquisition and through-life sustainment projects.
David has also provided advisory services to a number of other government agencies on contracting and procurement issues.
Before joining Proximity, David worked extensively as a senior legal counsel with a major defence industry contractor.
In this position he managed the legal aspects of all elements of the business.
These included commercial and procurement, corporate transactions, litigation and dispute resolution, governance compliance and management of in-house legal teams.
David enjoys achieving effective and practical legal and business outcomes. He has a proven ability to work both as an integral member of a team and also achieve business objectives independently.
David has a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne.
David is based in Adelaide and is an accredited rowing umpire with Rowing South Australia.
