Andrew served a distinguished 40-year career with Victoria Police, where he held several senior leadership roles before being appointed as Victoria’s Emergency Management Commissioner from 2018 to 2023.
Throughout these roles Andrew provided exceptional leadership and was a calm, familiar face for Victorians during some of the most significant emergencies the state has faced, including the 2019-20 bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic response.
As Victoria Police’s Deputy Commissioner, Regional Operations, Andrew led an exceptional team that was successful in driving down crime, introducing new technology and procuring significant assets including a new helicopter fleet for frontline policing.
Andrew is also well known as a champion for multicultural communities and firmly believes he is a better person and leader through those relationships.
Andrew approaches all work with exceptional judgement and works collaboratively to deliver positive outcomes for his clients and community.
Andrew has been married to Linda for more than 40 years. There is nothing they enjoy more than time with their daughters and their families. They are both keen hikers having completed a number of multi day walks.
