Ian is a reliable and trusted advisor to government with over 15 years’ experience working in national security, law enforcement and defence.
Ian provides strategic legal advice to support decision-making, policy and legislative development, and on international agreements and arrangements. He has also been responsible for shaping practices, policies andstrategieswithinin-house government legal teams.
Having worked across a number of agencies, departments and portfolios, Ian has a strong appreciation of the various equities in government and is able to bring together and harness different viewpoints. Ian is uniquely placed to advise on whole-of-government risks, including legal and reputational risks and develop solutions to mitigate those risks.
Ian holds a number of degrees including a Master of Laws and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics.
In his spare time, Ian enjoys skiing, hiking and learning to cook new things.
