Richard is an experienced government lawyer with strong expertise in administrative law and dispute resolution.
He has 28 years of private and Commonwealth experience, including 12 years as a senior lawyer and litigator within the Attorney-General’s and Home Affairs portfolios, and several years managing branches where he led national teams enforcing Commonwealth laws and sanctions in close collaboration with domestic and international partner agencies.
Richard’s expertise includes advising on all facets of administrative law, including legislative interpretation, compliance, internal, Tribunal and Judicial Reviews and protecting sensitive government information in legal proceedings and processes in response to civil discovery, criminal disclosure, subpoenas and freedom of information requests.
He has also appeared as counsel in State, Territory and Federal courts and tribunals including for the Commonwealth.
