MELBOURNE – 27 March 2024: Leading provider of integrated consulting, legal and commercial services to government and large organisations, Proximity, has today announced the appointment of Andrew Crisp AM APM as an Expert Advisor. In this role Andrew will lead major business transformation initiatives and taskforces, undertake governance, organisational and operational reviews, and set strategic direction to deliver tangible client results.
Andrew boasts an extensive and successful career as a senior leader in multiple Victorian public sector agencies. Most recently, he was Victoria’s Emergency Management Commissioner and before that, Deputy Commissioner, Regional Operations at Victoria Police. He is known for his leadership ability, inspiring teams to work together for a common goal.
Andrew is highly regarded as a collaborative and strategic leader with a level head, sound judgement and conviction, delivering both significant policy outcomes and making high impact decisions and co-ordinating several departments and agencies in crisis situations.
As a senior leader in Victoria Police he led a team that reduced state wide crime rates and also developed lasting relationships with many of the States multicultural communities. As Victoria’s Emergency Management Commissioner Andrew, led significant reform in the State including the restructure of Emergency Management Victoria, establishment of Emergency Recovery Victoria and implementation of the 24/7 specialist workforce at the State Control Centre
Elizabeth Langdon, Proximity’s Victorian Public Sector Lead, said Andrew was appointed due to his proven ability to lead and influence at a state, national and international level as well as his pragmatic approach to problem solving. During his career he has played a prominent role in supporting the Victorian Government and community by continually adapting and increasing capability and this is what Proximity strives to deliver for its clients.
