CANBERRA – 22 February 2024: Leading provider of integrated consulting, legal and commercial services to government and large organisations, Proximity, has announced the appointment of Anthony Honeyman to National Co-Lead – Consulting.
Anthony Honeyman has been a member of the Proximity Advisory Board for several years and has 20 years’ experience in management consulting. He has successfully led a variety of evaluations, program implementations, procurement activities, formal business cases and stakeholder engagement activities for major business transformation initiatives spanning several government agencies.
He was previously Chair, founding partner and Managing Director of Apis Consulting Group, part of Accenture, which he grew over a 14-year period to a successful large consulting firm of around 300 employees before it was acquired.
Zoe Lynam, CEO of Proximity, said Honeyman was appointed to the role due to his impressive career and deep expertise. Over the past decade, he has played a prominent role in supporting the Government across aged care, social services, health, education, and Indigenous affairs.

Honeyman brings sectoral specialisation in health, human services, and social policy settings, but his breadth of experience spans numerous other settings, including defence, education, employment, finance, and veterans’ affairs.

Honeyman commenced in the position in February and is based in Canberra.
